Full Product Description
Are you working with your students on identifying steps, skips, and repeated notes? This set of 30 sight reading cards with a heart theme all start on the landmark notes of middle C, treble G, and bass F and only incorporate steps, skips of a 3rd, and repeated notes. The PDF file is an entire page, so these can be shared digitally online with your students, or printed. I find that printing 4 per page is a perfect page for sight reading for in-person lessons and classroom situation. A cute back to the cards is included so that you can, if you'd like, print them double sided.
These cards can be used many ways:
Set a timer and see how many cards your students can play accurately in 3 minutes.
Use these cards as part of a board game. If a student identifies the notes correctly (and/or plays correctly), then can roll the dice and advance to the next spot on the board.
Pre-readers can sort the cards by the landmark notes, sorting them into three piles of those starting on treble G, those starting in middle C, and those starting on bass F.
Use the cards as note read exercises - have students say the notes out loud.
