Music Theory for Teachers
Innovative Turn-Key Solution to Teach Music Theory Levels 1 to 11
High quality, easy to follow Music Theory Teaching Resources for Levels 1 to 11 at your Fingertips
Free up your precious time!
Dear Teacher. I understand the battle against the clock in piano lessons… Music theory instruction loses out to teaching repertoire, improvisation, technique, scales, and, and… To solve this problem, I created 11 Levels of music theory courses, so that they could learn the skills for their grade level.
My students learn the music theory concepts at home or during their lesson lab time with instructional videos and written worksheets. They return to their private lesson the next week with an increased knowledge of music theory.
This quality teaching resource is now available to music teachers world-wide (currently in English only), and works not only to supplement piano lessons, but also can be used as an aid in studying for state music theory examinations.
Dr. Kathy Winston has created Music Theory Courses for students and these courses are the very definition of flipped learning and something that I have been wanting to find for a while.
The Community Arts Academy at the University of Houston uses these superb videos with our adult students.
They find the videos to be an absolutely perfect addition to their musical studies.
After trying several different theory options in my middle school piano lab, I decided on Kathy Winston’s program and I couldn’t be more pleased! I teach multiple levels in one class, and Kathy´s program allows me to differentiate instruction with ease.
The videos super easy for kids to understand. This theory program is the best one I’ve found for my classroom needs.
