Private Piano Lessons

1:1 Piano Lessons – In Person or Online!

Imagine walking into piano lessons with excitement – knowing that you will leave that lesson with a smile on your face, and a firm plan in place of what to work on that week.

My goal as a teacher and pedagogue is to create an excitement for learning in all of my students – from beginning to advanced students, from youngsters to seniors:

  • I want my elementary students to learn good practice habits and have a smile and laugh as they play music games with me.
  • I want my teen students to keep piano lessons going during the busy teen years while increasing skill levels and using piano as an outlet.
  • I want my adult students to approach lessons without stress.
Kathy is able to take the most complex musical concepts and break them down to make them seem so simple and straightforward. She is a fantastic teacher, very knowledgeable, and very approachable. (Adult Student)

Piano Program theory courses are designed with skill and thoughtfulness. My two kids have been learning music theory with Dr. Winston for the last few years and each of them have different learning styles. Both kids find the lessons engaging, and I can see them learning the concepts easily. Highly recommend these courses for music theory. Wish I had courses like this when I learned music theory as a kid! (Parent)
